“We are proud that Quell was selected as one of 10 finalists by a panel of judges comprised of journalists and industry analysts who are working on the leading edge of consumer technology, digital health and mobile,” stated Frank McGillin, SVP and general manager of NeuroMetrix. “Quell is a great example of how wearable technology and innovation can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

The event is hosted by David Pogue, founder of Yahoo Tech, a monthly columnist for Scientific American, host of science shows on PBS’s “NOVA” and a correspondent for “CBS Sunday Morning”. Pogue was previously the personal-technology columnist for the New York Times and has authored dozens of books. He’s been profiled on “48 Hours” and “60 Minutes.”

Quell is an easy-to-use, over-the-counter device for relief of chronic pain that NeuroMetrix first introduced at last year’s CES. This wearable device utilizes NeuroMetrix’s patented neurostimulation technology to provide pain relief.
