30 Hot Products At CES 2017

Consumer Electronics Show 2017

Brace yourself: The annual gadget extravaganza that is the Consumer Electronics Show is about to kick off. CES 2017 in Las Vegas will feature thousands of exhibitors, and the tech overload begins with two days of media announcements on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by showcases and demos in the following days. Products for the smart home, personal computing and mobility, cybersecurity and health care will be among those on display during the show.

Out of the massive number of products set to be showcased at CES, we’ve singled out 30 products that are poised to make a splash – both from smaller vendors and from big names like Samsung, Intel, and Lenovo.

Here is what’s hot this year at CES.

NeuroMetrix – Quell Wearable Pain Relief

For individuals suffering from chronic pain, the Quell wearable device may be among the most interesting products on display at CES 2017. The device, made by NeuroMetrix, is a drug-free aproach to providing pain relief (which has been cleared by the FDA). The device is worn on the upper calf and works by tapping into the body’s natural pain control system to block pain signals. Quell, NeuroMetrix says, is ultimately 5X more powerful than other over-the-counter pain relief devices.

FINsix is the startup behind DART, which the company calls “the world’s smallest laptop charger.” The DART is much less bulky than typical chargers and weighs a barely noticeable one-fifth of a pound. And the Dart doesn’t sacrifice on power, with an output of 65 watts. At CES 2017, FINsix will be showing off the brand-new DART-C, which works with USB Type-C laptops, such as Apples’s MacBook and new MacBook Pro.
